The Spirit of Painting: The ‘Painting with Cinema’
Of course I did think of Alfred’s silhouette and his movie Shadow of a doubt, made in the midst of war (1943) during the rising of the collective risk. In terms of forms, here comes Photojournalism. But painting, too, reveals an enemy… interior enemy of which I won’t say another word : «Any thing that is told and not showed is lost for the viewer» (Alfred Hitchcock).
